P-21 Factory Changes

Postby richlockus » Fri Jun 27, 2014 10:14 am

I am seriously looking at purchasing a Precision 21 and am interested in what changes the manufacturer has made during the years of production. I know that the cabin windows changed from one large window to a medium window and a small opening window about 1991 and then to two small opening windows about 1996. Does anyone know what others features may have changed? Do I need to look at newer boats for other reasons? Thanks

The only other change made around the mid 90's was the stern rail or "cat bird" seat. I don't have them on my '88, but I've heard mixed reviews, positive, that they are convenient when at the dock, negative, can get in the way to access the outboard. Other than that and the ports not much has changed.

Tom G,

Thanks for your reply. I will definitely keep the stern seats in mind since access to the outboard is very important while maneuvering stern first into our slip.
