P 21 sail stop

Postby Jay M » Tue Jun 16, 2015 1:56 pm

Can anyone tell me what the size of the sail stop is for my 1988 P21 mast? I would like to have a spare on hand, as I have popped out mind a couple of times but have luckily not lost it. They only seem to carry the flat kind at the local west marine, jay

The best ones are from Dwyer Mast company. They make the mast and their sail stops are just a little smaller than the actual track diameter. The Davis round ones are 1/2 inch so it is the same diameter as the slot which makes it difficult to install. The last time I ordered them their on line system added an automatic $10 or $20 fee. So I called them up and they only charged 2 or 3 for normal postage. PS order two while your at it.

I've sailed out of Old Saybrook where some relatives have a place. I noticed Dwyer wasn't that far away. I got tired of trailering it down there and now keep it in Massachusetts on a mooring. Where do you sail out of?

I'm a member of Indian Neck Yacht Club on the Branford River, about 45 min west of old Saybrook
