Saddest day of the year...

Postby DgS » Sat Oct 25, 2014 2:46 pm

Had to put the boat away today. The rig is down and she's all wrapped up for winter. I won't be able to go sailing again for at least six months! :( Having a short sailing season is no fun.

Yes, it is a bummer. But, my theory is that northern folks that have to put their boats away for the winter actually sail more than southern folks. We make the best of the shorter time to sail. Southern folks can pass up some days because they always have next weekend or the following weekend. I've made nearly all weekends, both days, on the boat, unless it is really bad weather. Now, with the boat out I marvel at my long week, two more days to get things done around the house.
